Applying for a grant
The Trust gives grants to people in order that they may continue to garden despite disability or advancing illness
What we require from you
Confirmation of your disability
Quotes or estimates for the work to be done
We do not provide a gardener for general maintenance, pay for clearing or fencing.
We need a short note from either your doctor, Social Services or salaried Project Leader confirming your disability.
You must also include an estimate of materials to be used and, if labour is required, then 2 competitive quotes from reliable builders or landscape gardeners. To make the most of your grant, we suggest you seek voluntary labour from local organisations. Your Citizens Advice Bureau or local library may be able to direct you to such help.
Once you have gathered you documents please send them to ‘Gardening for Disabled Trust, P.O. Box 285, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. TN2 9JD’.
Once we have received your application, the suggested work and estimates, our committee will decide what help we can give. We are always sympathetic to requests but our income is limited and we like to help as many people as possible, so we may have to limit the amount we can give to each applicant.
If you are able to scan or photograph your documents you can send them to us by filling in this online form.
